- Liturgies: Each day starts with the celebration of Morning Prayer, or Lauds , led by fellow NPM members. The close of the day may include a liturgy in the style of Taizé worship or another Evening/Night Prayer. Once during the week, attendees gather for the Convention Eucharist.
- Keynote Addresses: Directed towards the entire range of NPM members, esteemed speakers share their wisdom and experience at these full-assembly gatherings.
- Concerts: From the National Catholic Youth Choir to "Rockin' the Circle," a wide variety of musical presentations are offered.
- Breakout Sessions: These smaller sessions provide an opportunity for more specific topics to be addressed, from cantor issues to multi-cultural ministry. In addition to the variety of sessions offered, the "18" track is specifically aimed to address youth-specific topics. A few examples include:
- A-18 Forming Youth as Pastoral Musicians
- B-18 Mentoring Youth into Music Ministry
- C-18 Ministering Together: Youth Ministers and Music Directors as Collaborating Colleagues
- D-18 Music Ministry for All Generations
- Youth Gatherings: These opening and closing gatherings offer a place to connect with other youth, pray, and become oriented with the many convention opportunities.
- Monday, Youth Gathering I
- Thursday, Youth Gathering II
In addition to conventions, NPM offers a variety of institutes throughout the year. Of particular interest to youth may be the Cantor Express and the Guitar and Ensemble institutes.
If you've never attending a convention or institute, and even if you have, we hope you join us this summer! If you have a question about NPM's events, please contact us.
