January 24 – 5:30 PM
U.S. Naval Academy Band
The United States Naval Academy Band will perform a program of festive selections in the grand acoustics of the Cathedral. For more information about the band, please visit www.usna.edu/USNABand. This program is free and open to the public.

February 21 – 6:30 PM
Lenten Procession
The choir of St. John’s Huntingdon, under the direction of Mr. Thomas Hetrick, will perform works celebrating the season of Lent. Mirroring the Lenten journey, the procession will begin in the Narthex of the Cathedral, continue to the Sanctuary, and finally proceed to the steps of the high altar of the magnificent Cathedral. This program is free and open to the public; however, a free-will offering will be received.

February 28 – 5:30 PM
Organ Recital
Ms. Katherine Hunt, Associate Director of Music at the Cathedral, will perform an organ recital on the two stunning Schantz organs comprising 130 ranks. The program will include the Plymouth Suite by Percy Whitlock as well as works by J. S. Bach, Mendelssohn, and Daniel Pinkham. This program is free and open to the public however, a free-will offering will be received.

March 21 – 5:30 PM
Cathedral Choir Concert
The Cathedral Choir, under the direction of Mr. Daniel J. Sansone, will perform a program of varied choral repertoire celebrating the season of Lent. The program will feature the Missa Pange lingua by Josquin des Prez and the Quatre Motets pour les Temps de Penitence by Frances Poulenc.  This program is free and open to the public; however, a free-will offering will be received.

March 28 – 5:30 PM
Organ Recital
In observance of the beginning of Holy Week, the Cathedral’s Director of Music Mr. Daniel J. Sansone will perform an organ recital featuring Le Chemin de la Croix (The Stations of the Cross) by Marcel Dupré. The work’s movements offer musical reflections on the various Stations, depicting Christ’s Passion. Narrative readings will precede each of the fourteen movements. The regal acoustics of the Cathedral offer the perfect setting for the music. This program is free and open to the public however, a free-will offering will be received.

April 18 – 5:30 PM
Solemn Choral Vespers
The Cathedral Choir, under the direction of Mr. Daniel J. Sansone, will sing Solemn Choral Vespers. The vespers will include the Magnificat (St. Paul Service) by Herbert Howells, as well as other sacred choral motets .This program is free and open to the public however, a free-will offering will be received

From The Academy of St. Martin in the Field to the Vienna Choir Boys, St. Louis Cathedral Concerts feature top choirs and musical ensembles from around the world and across the region.  The Cathedral Basilica’s Romanesque style exterior houses a wondrous interior in Byzantine style.  Narrative mosaics line the ceiling and walls, creating one of the world’s largest mosaic collections made up of 41.5 million pieces of glass tesserae in over 7,000 colors covering 83,000 square feet.  Under the direction of Dr. John Romeri, Saint Louis Cathedral Concerts presents Great Music In A Great Space.
