SOLEMNITY OF ALL SAINTS Lectionary #667
In a sense, the Solemnity of All Saints transfers to believers the imagery of the Transfiguration. Through God's grace, our true nature is revealed and we shine like the sun and the stars.
Gathering/Entrance Procession
One of the following litanies would be appropriate today, especially if the entrance procession includes children and other members of the community besides the ministers.

Saints of God in Glory (Farrell) BB
Revelation 7:2–4, 9–14. The imagery in Revelation is of the heavenly court and those gathered for worship around God's throne and around the Lamb, that is, Christ. The number of those "sealed" as servants of God—144,000—is simply intended to suggest a huge number. The vast throng gathered around the throne wear the white robes of victory and carry palm branches that also symbolize victory. They sing snatches of a song that might have been used in the Johannine communities. They are identified as the martyrs who were killed during the early persecutions.
Psalm of the Day: Ps (23) 24
A hymn of praise to the Creator who has been victorious over the forces of chaos. It includes a description of a procession into the Temple by those "whose hands are sinless, whose hearts are clean, who desire not what is vain."

1 John 3:1–3. We know who we are, and we know that our identity comes from God's grace. But the full meaning of that identity as children of God exceeds our best efforts at imagination. All we know about it is that we will one day be fully like the risen Lord.
Matthew 5:1–12a. The revelation and transfiguration of God's people begins now, if we have the eyes to see it. The poor inherit the kingdom, the meek inherit the land, the clean of heart see God, and those who are persecuted for righteousness inherit the kingdom of heaven.
